How does genetic testing compare to YourPDX testing?

Genetic testing is a complementary scientific tool that provides clues about which drugs might be effective against an individual’s unique form of cancer. This information can be helpful in making decisions about which drugs to test in mouse avatars, but it is not required to proceed with functional oncology drug sensitivity test. Genetic testing (NGS) involves the examination of an individual’s DNA to identify possible changes (mutations) in their genes. It can provide valuable insight into a cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention, but it cannot inform individuals whether specific mutations are driving their cancer, and therefore, has limitations.1
